CMS and VS do not require a broadband internet connection. The size of CMS files is typically 2 to 3 MB, so they can be delivered in few minutes even using a normal dial-up telephone modem. VS files, either used in “on-line” or “off-line” mode, are even smaller.

CMS is based on sound synthesis made on the "client" PC, i.e., on the PC where the CMS executable file is run. Some computing power is required to carry out the sound synthesis. However, even not powerful PC may successfully perform such a task: they will just need more time to complete. The sound synthesis for one CD may take minutes on today's PCs, and few hours on older PCs. It may be convenient leave the PC working exclusively on this task, for example during the night. While performing the sound synthesis, the PC does not require a connection to internet, as sound synthesis is entirely made locally.

VS is also based on sound synthesis made on the “client” PC, however in this case a plug-in, i.e., a small software additional module, must be downloaded and installed first. The plug-in is named “Myriad Music plug-in”, and it can be downloaded (free) from http://www.myriad-online.com/en/products/mmplugin.htm .
